Coffee with WomELLE is a relaxed conversation for women building businesses, growing side businesses, freelancing, or exploring entrepreneurship.

Each gathering brings someone to the table with experience or expertise that can help business owners understand something they’re dealing with right now.

One conversation might be with a CPA answering questions about taxes and business finances. Another could bring in an attorney to talk about contracts, a marketing professional to discuss finding customers, a retailer to explain what buyers look for, or an experienced founder willing to talk about lessons learned while building her company.

This isn’t a webinar where a guest talks for an hour while everyone else listens.

It’s a conversation. We’ll get things started with our guest, then open the room so you can ask questions, share what you’re experiencing, and learn from the questions other women bring.

Every Coffee with WomELLE is different because the conversation changes with the guest and the women in the room.

You’ll hear practical information and firsthand experiences around topics that matter when you’re building a business. You’ll also have an opportunity to ask questions that relate to your own situation instead of only receiving general information.

Some months may help you understand something about money. Others may help with customers, marketing, contracts, hiring, selling, growth, or another part of running a business.

The goal is simple: give you access to useful people and conversations that can help you build with more information.

Who Should Attend?

Coffee with WomELLE is for women who own a small business, are building a startup, freelance, have a side business, sell products or services, or are seriously considering starting something of their own.

You don’t need to be at a certain revenue level or stage of business.

You can be figuring out your first steps or several years into running your company. If the month’s conversation is relevant to something you’re building or trying to understand, pull up a chair.

Why Should You Attend?

Because business owners have a lot of questions, and finding useful answers can mean searching through articles, watching videos, paying for consultations, or trying to figure out whose advice to trust.

Coffee with WomELLE gives you a chance to sit in the room with someone who knows the subject and ask questions.

You’ll also meet other women building businesses. Their questions, experiences, and lessons can be just as useful as the conversation with our guest.

If there’s something you want to ask our guest, write it down before you arrive. You’re also welcome to come without a question and simply listen to the conversation.

No presentation or preparation is required from attendees.

What to Expect

60 minutes. Guest conversation + open Q&A. No formal presentation.

We’ll introduce our guest and get the conversation started, then open the room for questions and discussion.

Some guests will be outside experts. Others may be women from within the WomELLE community who have knowledge and experience worth sharing.
