First-Time Manager Training Program

You got promoted. Now you have to manage people.

First-Time Manager Training Program is a live, four-week training program for women who are new to managing people or preparing for their first management role. The program focuses on the situations new managers actually face, including setting expectations, delegating work, holding employees accountable, giving feedback, conducting one-on-one meetings, addressing performance concerns, and handling difficult conversations.

Across four live 90-minute sessions, you will learn practical management skills, work through realistic workplace situations, practice conversations, and use tools you can continue using after the program ends.

Intended Audience

Women who are new managers, supervisors, team leads, recently promoted into people-management roles, or preparing to manage employees for the first time.

What Will You Learn?

  • How to transition from doing the work yourself to managing the work of others.

  • How to set clear expectations and delegate effectively.

  • How to follow up without micromanaging.

  • How to hold employees accountable when expectations are not met.

  • How to conduct useful one-on-one meetings.

  • How to give positive and corrective feedback.
