More than 1 billion children worldwide are suffering from poverty and lack proper access to nutrition. This is what hinders their growth, and they are forced to live a harsh and challenging life. There are many leaders who are stepping forward and influencing the lives of these young kids. We came across Cindy Eggleton, who is the co-founder and CEO of Brilliant Detroit. A non-profit organization that assists kids and helps them lead healthy lives.
It allows families and children from 0 to 8 years of age. They work on the philosophy ‘with, for, and by neighbors' and have been helping all the children in neighborhoods.
She believes that the transformation starts at the family level and has been using different approaches to bring change to the community. As CEO, Cindy grew Brilliant Detroit significantly and served around 7,500 children in the initial four years. They also have caregivers with more than 80 organizational partners operating out of 12 home-based hubs.
The numbers are increasing, and they are helping even more people every day. They also conduct sessions with neighborhoods and listen to them to understand better. This podcast will help you know what inspired her to start her NGO and how she has been operating it with her co-founder. Listen to the podcast to learn more about our families.
