eeBoo creates refreshing toys and gifts that are 100% original (no licenses) and we commission our artwork from well-known and well-loved children’s book illustrators. Many of our games and activities are based on old-fashioned formats which eeBoo re-invents with cheerful artwork and contemporary design.
eeBoo is committed to creating beautiful well-made products that; teach the basic literacy skills, promote attentiveness and empathy, encourage cooperation, honor diversity, foster good citizenship, promote respect for other cultures and the larger world we share, offer constructive and engaging alternatives to screen time, and revive wholesome pastimes that bring generations together.
Most of all we want to inspire kids of all ages to get down on the floor and play!
Mia Galison is founder and director of eeBoo Corporation.
Before starting eeBoo in 1994, Mia worked in film and video production, archival research for documentary films, and the publishing industry.
When Mia started eeBoo twenty-three years ago, she made her office in the basement of her apartment to be close to her kids. She embraced the chaotic mix of children, dogs, and family in the office, early on as part of the eeBoo brand.
eeBoo is now, no longer an anomaly in the toy industry. Evolving values and the internet have enabled new waves of unconventional businesses to enter the market—many run by women with small children. eeBoo in 2017, has a full time office, run by a small team of employees, blocks from her original Upper West Side basement office and apartment.
