Support the weekend that gives women space to speak and strength to grow.

The Voice of Industry

The Voice of Industry is WomELLE’s annual gathering during Women’s History Month where women speak honestly about their real experiences in business, leadership, entrepreneurship, and life. It is not a conference filled with panels or advice sessions. It is one stage, one audience, and one purpose: to listen.

The name honors the Lowell Mill Girls of the 1830s and 1840s. These young women worked long days in the textile mills of Massachusetts under difficult and dangerous conditions. When their wages were cut, they organized walkouts and, more importantly, created their own newspaper, The Voice of Industry. Through it, they shared their stories in their own words rather than letting others control their narrative.

That same spirit lives in WomELLE’s Voice of Industry. The event is a space where women tell their stories directly, whether in a short five-minute account or a longer fifteen-minute talk. Some are about unfair treatment, some about small victories, and others about the hidden costs of trying to succeed in spaces not built for them. The aim is not to polish stories for inspiration but to create a living record of what women actually face.

The Voice of Industry asks a simple question: how can anyone claim to support women if they do not know what women are experiencing. Listening comes first. Only after hearing these stories can funders, mentors, allies, and institutions begin to offer meaningful support.

Just as the Lowell women used their newspaper to ensure their voices were heard, WomELLE creates this stage so that women today are not silenced or reshaped. Their words, spoken directly, connect individual experiences into a chorus that cannot be ignored.

Mission of the Weekend

Clear. Real. Human.

The Voice of Industry Weekend exists to make women’s voices visible and valued. Through honest stories, recognition of achievement, and collective problem solving, the weekend creates space for women to be heard, celebrated, and supported in shaping what comes next.

“Listen with honesty, celebrate with intention, leave ready to act.”

The Voice of Industry

The Voice of Industry is a gathering where women share the real struggles they face in business, leadership, and life. Inspired by the Lowell Mill Girls who raised their voices nearly two centuries ago, this event continues their legacy of speaking honestly and collectively.

On one stage, women present their stories in short talks that reveal both individual challenges and broader patterns. There are no panels or workshops, only voices heard directly and without filter. The evening includes a buffet dinner where the conversation continues among peers, allies, and supporters.

The Female Voice Awards

The Female Voice Awards Gala honors women who are shaping leadership, business, and community. Guests arrive to a red carpet reception before gathering for dinner and an evening of recognition.

Each honoree is introduced with her story. Some stories are about determination, others about vision, all about impact. The night is both celebration and acknowledgment, giving space for women to be seen and honored for their work. The evening concludes with dessert and time to connect, photograph, and celebrate together.

Bloom Sessions

On Saturday morning, every attendee is invited to take part in a private, thirty-minute Bloom Session in the Bloom Lounge. These one-on-one coaching or mentoring conversations are included with your ticket and take place during the day before the gala. You can choose the focus that best fits your goals—career direction, business growth, leadership skills, or personal clarity before a big decision.

Each session is quiet, personal, and designed to give you practical next steps. After registering, you will receive an email to book your time slot, and you’ll be matched with a coach or mentor who aligns with your focus area. A host will welcome you, walk you to your table, and make sure your conversation begins smoothly. You’ll leave with two or three clear actions you can take right away, along with optional resources to keep your progress moving.

She’s Possible

She’s Possible is a morning breakfast dedicated to solving problems together. Women take the stage to share real challenges in business and entrepreneurship. Each problem is followed with live responses from peers, advisors, and allies in the room.

The goal is not polished speeches but practical solutions. This is a space where honesty leads to clarity and where women leave with new direction and possibilities they may not have seen alone.
